This component is going to handle updating our material in the editor and at runtime to toggle the outline off or on and also change the color. Next create a new C# script and name it SpriteOutline. CircleOutline with the same text is over 1,100 vertices. Ui,Text with Outline with the same text is 488 vertices. Using "The count is 100" with UI.Text (plain) is 72 vertices (as they are allocated in blocks). So a single character which normally is 4 vertices in this case is 20 vertices. The Outline increases the geometry count by 4X. Unity's Outline FX depending on the device is about (3X / 4X) slower than plain text.Still want to add some Godrays coming from the sea surface & possibly look at adding a bit of depth gradient to the fog but haven't had much luck with that yet!
